Are you taking medication?
What you can expect
If you have been prescribed medication you should have been given an information leaflet describing why you have been prescribed the medication, any side effects and what you can do to help.

Medicines information helpline
The Medicines Management Team is committed to providing clear, accessible information about medicines to people who use our services. We believe that enabling people to understand their medicines and involving them in prescribing decisions will support their recovery. Medicines can play an important role in recovery but each individual needs to decide how to use medication in the best way for them, alongside other approaches. The Medicines Management Team is, therefore, launching their NEW Medicines Information Helpline which can be used by people who use our services, their carers and healthcare professionals (including Trust staff) if they have any questions or concerns about medication and would like to speak to a specialist mental health pharmacist.
Finding out more about medication
The Choice and Medication website offers people information about medications used in the mental health setting to help people make informed decisions about medication.
